I created this blog nearly 5 years ago. And wrote one post. Not cool, Amy. Not cool. Then I got distracted / scared / uncertain and didn't move forward.
I have a family blog that is much easier to update since the focus and point are clear. The problem with this space is that I haven't found my purpose yet. So I've waited. And waited. And waited.
When I saw a 31 day blogging challenge on one of my favorite blogs it seemed like a good place to begin.
THE CHALLENGE: 31 Days
MY TOPIC OF CHOICE: Appreciation
You see, I've lived in San Francisco for over 10 years, and I'm realizing I take for granted all that is amazing about this place - and my life here. (I almost titled this series "Granted, For Take" but then thought it would be a little too out there. And I can't move forward with an out there blog, if I haven't determined if that's part of the online "me" yet - you know? Creating the right tone with the written word is still much of a mystery to me.)
Anyway, back on topic:

Each day I'm going to push myself to recognize and appreciate something I normally overlook. As the month goes on I'll post a link to each new day below. My first thought is to make it specific to SF (hence the bridge in my photo - courtesy of my husband, Matt), but we'll see how that goes. I'm not making any promises, just going to see which way the wind blows.
These 31 days are aiming to shift my current perspective a little, and allow the great stuff a chance to shine. And given this underused blog a little direction and purpose.
